Origin and development

Industrias Pugliese s.a. is able to exhibit almost six decades of uninterrupted performance in Argentina. The Company working capital is entirely national. Founded in 1942 by Vicente Pugliese, it was focussed in the manufacturing of components and general parts for the footwear industry. Since its beginnings, the Company has nourished on a great innovative spirit and an effective commitment with quality, both of them, its permanent outstanding characteristics. The former modest workshop evolved towards a high standard molding & tooling plant and, as well, manufacturing plants equipped with the most advanced technology, which enabled the Company to manufacture a wide range of metallic and plastic complements, destined to the forementioned industry.

Successful undertaking

At the beginning of 1990, the Company showed another of its constants: a vocation for diversification, and thus, PSA Division was founded. Its purpose is to investigate the scientific field and technical treatment of water and to develop a line of purifiers to be manufactured and commercialized in Argentina. As a result of that initial work, the best materials and filtering media were selected, most of them coming from Europe and the United States of America. That same year, the first units were manufactured and tested with great success.

PSA was thus emerging as a pioneer company in the development of the unexplored water purifying devices industry in Argentina. Today, that initiative of our Company's has already celebrated its first 10 years of fruitful and continued work.
